Moai

from the Ancient Scrolls… “11,000 B.C. Viracocoha arrives who controlled the city of Tiahuanaco. His base was on an island named Mot(Bird). He and his followers were (allegedly) Lyrians with giant bodies around 35 feet tall…”

The first methodical investigation of the statues at Rapa Nui, which many think of as simple heads, reveals the complete figures buried over centuries by natural forces. (Easter Island Statue Project / Jo Anne Van Tilburg)

But the intent of the giant sculptures, their reason for being, is still not totally clear.

“It’s always important to get beneath the surface of things,” said Jo Anne Van Tilburg, director of the Easter Island Statue Project
